CVS Health Payer Performance Analyst in Woonsocket, Rhode Island

Job Description

The Payer Performance Analyst is responsible for analyzing pharmacy transactional data to identify issues and opportunities related to compliance and operational efficiencies. In this role, you will focus on using analytics to translate data into Business Intelligence, conducting root cause analytics, identify trends, internal/external system gaps, opportunities, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The day-to-day experience of the role will vary –conducting root cause analysis, discovering store needs, aligning with key partners, and monitoring results of new enhancements. This position requires the ability to work independently as well as working in a team environment.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of analytical experience within pharmacy, healthcare, managed care, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

Superior analytical and problem solving skills

Highest level of attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, adjust priorities to focus on the highest impact activities and meet deadlines

Creativity and investigative nature in regard to identifying solutions to company and industry problems

Experience and technical understanding of pharmacy claims processing, contracting and NCPDP standard

Understanding of Microstrategy and how data is associated within DW tables

Advanced skills using spreadsheets, databases and presentation software, including MS Word, Excel Access and Powerpoint

Excellent oral and written communication skills, can communicate openly and proactively

Ability to work with a variety of personnel with varying degrees of technical skills

Aptitude to communicate complex analytic findings and conclusions in an easy to understand way

Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners to develop analytic models, methodologies and reports that support business needs

Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and also work within a team environment


Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required

Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or related field strongly preferred
