JPMorgan Chase CCB - Lead Architect for Hybrid Cloud in Wilmington, Delaware
Chase Consumer and Community Banking (CCB) serves more than 65 million consumers and 4 million small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice.
This position is for a Lead Architect for Hybrid Cloud in the New Banking Architecture product area in CCB. The Hybrid Cloud Architect will be responsible for defining and advancing the hybrid cloud strategy. This Architect must have a thorough understanding of all the capabilities (e.g. Container Orchestration, PaaS, Risk & Compliance) required for the hybrid cloud and will drive priorities in partnership with the Cloud Services team, the GTI platform services team and the Cyber team.
Key responsibilities include:
Guiding and advising teams on how to migrate their existing applications or workloads to the hybrid cloud and deployment of new workloads on the cloud.
Provides guidance on all critical services that can be consumed in a hybrid cloud environment and understands integration to guide teams in applying these services.
Provides guidance on the roadmap of advancement of the hybrid cloud.
Ensure alignment of cloud capability with value propositions to allow us to accelerate migration/building for the cloud
Keeps track on aggregate metrics/business case that indicates our progress towards the cloud-first model.
Understand key strategies shaping the target state environment and drive efficiency into the investment plans to accelerate or enhance the desired business outcome.
Build and maintain relationships with key individuals in the business and technology community whose strategies and decisions determine the investments made in these capabilities year-over-year.
Execute clear communication plan for new banking architecture product.
Enable prudent business case decisions by delivering quality strategic roadmaps and providing strong business consultation.
Provide regular updates as part of a sprint team.
Conduct regular reviews with the Chief Architects of the Consumer Bank pertaining to the content, direction, key decisions, and progress of critical roadmap execution
Brings thought leadership and participates in the leadership of enterprise-wide forums or groups advancing the maturity and resiliency of our applications.
Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field
Must have 10+ years of deep engineering and/or architecture experience in leading large scale technology initiatives and dealing with high throughput and low latency applications.
Must have worked in large matrix organizations.
Deep and rapidly growing experience with cloud architectures: security, availability, microservices, consumption based billing, designs for scalability, containerization
Hands on experience with one of the public clouds, such as Amazon, Google, or Microsoft.
Must have been a software engineer at some point in career. Ideally still writes code at work
Experience with solution architecture/documenting software architectures
Understanding of DevOps principles, tools and the intersection with cloud architecture
Hands-on, applied and delivery focused
No need for prior finance experience, it is a plus. Non-finance background with cloud or engineering experience is welcomed.
