CVS Health 2nd Shift Temporary Maintenance Mechanic in Waverly, New York

Job Description

Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all associated fork truck equipment. Responsibilities also include knowledge in: preventative maintenance procedures, troubleshooting guidelines, work request documentation, spare parts procurement, and inventory control.

Required Qualifications

Education/Experience: Minimum of four years experience in a General Maintenance position with demonstrated proficiency and expertise in fork truck maintenance or four years experience in fork truck maintenance and repair. Experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems repair. Experience in AC/DC arc welding and gas welding/cutting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Good written and verbal communication skills to include the ability to read, write, and count legible and accurately.

• Demonstrated expertise in the use of basic and sophisticated hand tools.

• Knowledge of mathematics, and elementary algebraic equations.

• Ability to safely operate, and be certified as an operator of power jacks, fork trucks, and other power equipment as needed.

• Ability to safely operate overhead cranes.

• Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and electrical/pneumatic schematics.

• Work overtime as required.

• Must possess valid drivers license.

• Physical Demands: This position has a (0-33%) lifting requirement up to 75lbs. Other physical activities include frequent bending/reaching/stooping; (34-66%); frequent walking, standing, climbing (34-66%).

• Work Environment: Warehouse environment, which includes seasonal temperature changes, rolling equipment, and conveyors.


High School Diploma or GED preferred
