Visual Designer, Senior

Key Role:

Design and develop complex graphics and illustrations for use in marketing materials. Operate computer hardware and software to prepare, revise, print, and store text, illustrations, and graphics. Formulate a concept and render illustration and detail from models, sketches, memory, oral or written instructions, and imagination. Select type and lay out material. Determine the style, technique, and medium best suited to produce preferred effects, including conforming with reproduction requirements or following specific instructions regarding these variables.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with designing and developing graphics for print, Web, and video

-Experience with working under pressure and creating visual designs on the fly

-Experience with HTML and CSS

-Knowledge of the elements and principles of print and Web design, including the importance of excellent typography

-Ability to conceptualize original ideas from ambiguous direction and accept and implement feedback

-Ability to pay strict attention to detail, including alignment and design consistency throughout all materials

-Ability to assist with designing illustrations and sketches, as appropriate

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop

-Knowledge of print production
