Job Description

This position will support the heads of public policy and federal affairs and others in the D.C. office. Independently provide advanced, diversified and confidential administrative support requiring broad experience, skill and knowledge of organization operations, policies and practices. Initiates correspondence, resolves complex inquiries, coordinates complex meetings and travel arrangements. Coordinates managers time commitments both internally and externally. Has authority to handle most issues in managers absence

Fundamental Components included but are not limited to:

  • Manages daily calendar to ensure that priorities are accomplished and unplanned items are addresses appropriately. Authorized to manage calendars, making all changes independently, for both internal and external executive time commitments.

  • Manages workflow for incoming items to ensure that issues are directed to the appropriate area (particularly in managers absence).

  • Monitors status of delegated items to ensure closure.

  • Majority of work involves confidential business material. Triages telephone calls ensuring that correct action is taken without direction from the manager. Opens, reads, organizes, prioritizes and responds to mail or directs to appropriate area for response.

  • Arranges complex travel, meeting, events for managers with minimal guidance.

  • Responsible for preparing and submitting expense reports for managers ensuring compliance with company policies.

Qualifications Requirements and Preferences:

5+ years administrative and/or techncial support experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Associate's College degree (desired). Requires knowledge and specialized expertise in executive administrative support Ability to build relationships and collaborate with other professionals toward a common goal. Effective team player with proven ability to work with key business leaders. Ability to handle high level confidential matters with discretion

Desktop Tool - Microsoft Outlook, Desktop Tool - Microsoft PowerPoint, Desktop Tool - Microsoft SharePoint, Desktop Tool - Microsoft Word

Additional Job Information:

Candidate will need to work in the office and the schedule may change based on workload.
