Cyber Engineer/Analyst

Key Role:

Perform forensic analysis of digital information and gather and perform data collection. Use forensically sound procedures to identify network computer intrusion evidence and identify perpetrators. Employ forensic tools and techniques to support the investigation of computer fraud or other electronic crimes, crack files and system passwords, detect steganography, and recover deleted, fragmented, and corrupted data from digital media of all types. Create and fix scripts in multiple programming languages, including Python, Bash, and PowerShell and document changes made for data collection purposes. Initiate correspondence with vendor and external POC's to discuss issues with data being ingested. Collaborate with counterparts throughout the agency and overall Cyber community, including troubleshooting issues, obtaining access, and making connections.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with one or more forensic tools, including FTK, Encase, MIR, NUIX, and Cellebrite

-Experience with mobile device forensics

-Experience with making security recommendations for mobile devices

-Experience with mobile application vetting

-Experience with Linux operating systems

-Knowledge of Windows, Linux, or Android operating systems, including registry, services, memory management, and security protections

-Ability to analyze and document procedures for investigations

-Ability to write scripts for data collection, including Python

-Active Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree
