Energy Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Analyze current and pending energy policies to assist federal program clients with comprehending market impacts and needs to modify federal programming. Apply comprehension of technical, business, market, and policy landscapes around energy efficiency, fossil energy, and renewable energy to assist clients with strategic and tactical solutions. Leverage comprehension of financing mechanisms, federal, state, and local policies, and best practice benchmarks to assist clients with solving compliance, business case selling, and outreach challenges. Work as a problem solver, including recommending possible solutions to complex or ambiguous client challenges. Apply expertise in and defining a scope and an appropriate approach to new assignments. Serve as a mentor to junior team members, contribute to studies and proposals, and be involved in generating intellectual capital, as needed. Build and maintain trusted relationships with mid-level clients.

Basic Qualifications:

-7 years of experience with analyzing energy technologies from a technical and financial standpoint

-Knowledge of energy technologies and financial analytics associated with determining cost effectiveness

-Ability to present complex technical information to a senior audience and lead multi-disciplinary teams required

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree required

-Certified Energy Manager (CEM) Certification required

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Marine Corps or DoD energy programs preferred

-Knowledge of DoD processes for identifying and analyzing energy systems preferred

-Active Secret clearance preferred

-BS degree in a technical field preferred; MS degree in a technical field a plus
