Construction Security Technician

Key Role:

Serve as a Construction Security Technician (CST) working with the Site Security Manager (SSM) to receive and implement orders or special instructions which affect the security operations of the site leveraging the Construction Security Plan (CSP). Identify threats or risks threatening the integrity of facilities throughout the life cycle of renovation projects. Serve as a point of contact regarding security on construction sites, manage daily schedules of project-assigned CSTs, negotiate construction schedules to ensure adherence to CSP, and notify the proper US government point of contact in the event any issues or deviations are proposed by contracted construction crew. Implement Standard Operating Procedures, CSPs, and special instructions governing the construction security surveillance function. Implement all aspects of the CSP, conduct daily security inspections of materials and work performed during construction for the duration of projects to ensure compliance with the CSP. Document security violations or deviations from the CSP and work with the construction firms to ensure security of the construction site and compliance with the requirements set forth in the CSP.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with construction security surveillance, Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF) construction, counter intelligence and surveillance operations, and technical surveillance countermeasures

-Knowledge of construction or building design

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Completion of government-approved CST Certification Construction Surveillance Technician Course, including DoS SE-630

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of construction guidelines and federal regulations

-Knowledge of Army facilities construction

-Counterintelligence or Intelligence Analysis and Naval Construction Battalion (CB) Training

-US Army Corps of Engineers Construction Training
