The opportunity

As part of our Agribusiness Team, you will be responsible for helping our clients navigate through the evolving business landscape. You will have the opportunity to work with engagement leadership to develop and deliverstrategic insights and process improvements to help our clients improve their business across a number of functions, including strategy, finance, supply chain andoperations, and information technology just to name a few

Your key responsibilities

As part of our Agribusiness Team, you will be responsible for helping our clients navigate through the evolving business landscape. You will have the opportunity to work with engagement leadership to develop and deliverstrategic insights and process improvements to help our clients improve their business across a number of functions, including strategy, finance, supply chain andoperations, and information technology just to name a few

Skills and attributes for success

  • Deep agriculture sector knowledge across a number of ecosystems (dairy, seed, agrochemical, etc.)

  • Understanding of current business and industry trends relevant to our clients’ businesses

  • Strong technical capabilities and professional knowledge, along with ability to quickly assimilate new knowledge

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment

  • Lead junior-level consultants, interface with senior leadership and build strong client relationships

  • Perform analysis on subsets of client data and assess data availability, adequacy and quality

  • Ability to identify potential business opportunities for EY within existing engagements, as well as understand our full service line offerings

Develop internal relationships within Advisory and ability to assist with proposals and new business development

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • 3+ years of related work experience at an agribusiness company, or a graduate degree and more than 1 year of related work experience at an agribusiness company

  • 2+ years’ experience working as an advisor to agribusiness companies

  • MBA or MS with focus in agronomy and agriculture preferred

  • Ability and comfortable researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices and new technologies

  • Ability to manage and supervise consultants through all phases a project life cycle

  • Experience in business transformation, process review, design and implementation

  • Experience in change and project management involving finance, strategy and supply chain transformation projects

  • Excellent presentation and analytical skills, as well as proficient information technology skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Valid US driver’s license and valid passport required, plus willingness and ability to travel nationally and internationally for client needs

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience with dairy and livestock, agriculture processing, fertilizers, agriculture equipment, seed and crop protection and agriculture retail
