Your key responsibilities

  • You’ll be responsible to work on different client delivery and business development activities. More specifically:

  • Client delivery – To effectively lead and motivate teams, fostering an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment, also providing subject matter expertise in client engagements (including assessment, design and implementation of risk solutions). Also, we expect our team members to consistently deliver quality client services within timeframe and budget

  • Business Development - To build trustworthy and authentic client and EY relationships, cultivating business development opportunities that contribute to profitable growth

  • Understand power & utility and energy clients’ cultures and operations to influence important decisions on risk management and compliance programs and processes

  • Develop risk programs and methodologies and implement GRC technology to enable the client organization

  • Assist with cultivating and managing business development opportunities. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess/present ways to serve clients.

  • Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Develop relationships with team members across all EY practices to serve client needs.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related major

  • 5-7 years of experience in utility risk, audit, controls, or compliance

  • Previous experience or understanding of utility specific processes such as asset management/accounting, operations, customer

  • Risk and control design, testing, and basic understanding for above utility specific processes

  • Previous Big 4 or industry or industry experience (through internal controls, internal audit, or external audit)

  • Understanding of utility regulations and compliance requirements (NERC, FERC, Legal or ethics)

  • Knowledge of principles of ERM and knowledge of GRC concepts. Knowledge of risk management or control frameworks (e.g. COSO, ISO, OCEG, etc.)

  • Experience with the assessment, design and implementation of risk management and/or compliance programs including risk governance, risk appetite and risk tolerance, risk assessment, risk mitigation strategies, integration of risk management and strategic/business planning processes, and integration of risk management functions

  • A valid driver's license in the US and a valid passport required; willingness and ability to travel internationally. A willingness to travel estimated at 60-80%

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • CPA/CA, CIA, CISA, CMA, RICS APC, PMP or other relevant certification; non-certified hires are required to become certified within 1 year from the date of hire.

  • Prior experience as a consultant or client serving professional
