The Procurement organization consists of four global categories - Technology Sourcing, Travel Services, Meetings & Events, Real Estate and Products & Services.
The job holder reports to the Talent Procurement Team Lead and is responsible for the successful management and strategy of EY automotive programs and related sourcing projects in Talent Procurement. The Talent pillar manages circa $1.8B of annual spend, of which automotive spend is $85M across 20 member firms.
The EY Procurement team is a team of more than 400 procurement professionals located across 30 countries who manage an annual procurement spend of $8,1bn, which is comprised of the following key categories:
Brand Marketing and Communications (BMC),
Real Estate and Workplace Services,
Technology Sourcing and External Content
Talent Management and Acquisition (a.o. Automotive, Recruitment, Learning & Development and Benefits)
These four categories collaborate strongly cross-functionally.
The Automotive COE Lead will be responsible for:
Definition, management and implementation of the Automotive COE category strategy on how to manage car fleets across the required EY network member firms.
End-to-end delivery of sourcing projects for EY business stakeholders and commercial management of EY vendors across Car and Car Programs related projects. Specifically automotive projects/spend related to local car schemes/policy.
Effective management of third parties including car fleet management, car leasing companies, car dealers and importers, car manufacturers, fuel, car insurance and more in general car related spend to deliver brand and quantitative value to EY.
Initiates cross regional through COE model to maximize value return, implement innovative processes and demand management strategies.
Drives SRM program with key third parties to build stronger relationships and deliver supplier-enabled innovation.
Actively participates in relevant industry discussions, uses data intelligence and exchanges best practice with peers in non-competing industries
Develops relationships with key GCSPs and automotive Sector leader, other business partners including risk management and market leaders
Act as trusted business advisor to EY business stakeholders, agreeing procurement projects/pipeline and providing Exceptional Customer Service whilst delivering both brand and quantitative value to the bottom line through cost savings and cost avoidance.
Adherence to EY Procurement policy and processes, including collaboration with legal, risk management and other EY support functions.
Provides proactive structured management, communications and accurate progress reporting on automoative projects.
Essential Functions of the Job
Build and maintain and update a pipeline of Procurement projects as part of category planning and in collaboration with Procurement leaders and local stakeholders.
Lead complex Request for Proposals including strong commercial negotiations, supporting the team with data analytics, leading vendor evaluations, and shepherding the contractual negotiations in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners including Legal and risk management.
Develop strong relationships with key EY business stakeholders and report procurement progress via regular meetings.
Continuously deliver procurement and category insights to key stakeholders, and education of the Procurement process to local EY staff and stakeholders when needed.
Good knowledge of the key vendors and their positioning in the market.
High quality execution of sourcing projects in line with the Procurement policy and within the timelines as agreed with key stakeholders.
Minimise contractual risks to EY and manage business relationships with vendors according to EY’s Procurement and Independence policies.
Achieve value targets whilst innovatively develop new cost reduction strategies and improve negotiable spend via sourcing and demand management including spend consolidation and vendor rationalization.
Work collaboratively with other EY Procurement teams to deliver projects in regions where other procurement teams may not have coverage, or when specific category expertise is required.
Provide accurate monthly reporting on deals and timely submission of savings forms.
Knowledge and skills requirements:
Strong Procurement expertise and commercial acumen in order to drive sourcing and demand management strategies across a broad array of categories.
Proven track record of leading complex Procurement activities, including multi-regional or global projects.
High level of cultural awareness and EQ.
Able to align efforts with the key stakeholders and influence these leaders, as necessary, and possess a global mindset.
Has experience of Source to Pay (“S2P”) processes including managing sourcing projects on Oracle or SAP system, including the execution of online Rfx and e-Auctions.
Strong analytical skills and ability to present to senior stakeholders.
Energetic, innovative and self-motivated.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
CPM qualification (US), CIPS qualification (UK) or similar local qualifications is desirable.
Significant years of Procurement experience in the Talent/Automotive category is a must-have.
Cross-border experience with car related spend initiatives and car leasing programs is desirable.
Experience of working in global and complex organizations. Strong Business English.
Excellent commercial skills and business acumen.
