Programme Management Team – Sr. Manager

Location: Dublin

Contract: Permanent

At EY, we are experiencing phenomenal growth and expansion across all our practices from Advisory, Assurance, to Tax and Transactional Advisory Services. We are seeking to recruit high achieving individuals to be part of our programme management office (PMO) to guide and support strategic initiatives across the business.

We are seeking individuals with project and programme delivery experience within large recognised organisations and a demonstrated track record of success.

We are looking for people who can demonstrate management of large scale business transformation specifically those with a strong background in working in a programme management office.

Individuals must have an ability to influence at senior leadership and be adept at relationship management to deliver successful change management programmes across the organisation.

As a Sr. Manager:

· You should have excellent project management skills and ability to build a governance and operations structure around the strategic programmes;

· Manage and execute the design and running of projects/programmes of work which meet senior leadership team expectations

· Oversee and manage all regular status reporting, KPI, issue/risk logs, and communications on the programmes/projects to head of PMO and senior leadership team

· You will be responsible for regular reports on all projects and programmes

· Have a proven track record of outstanding performance and display a high level of people skills as well as C-level stakeholder engagement and influencing skills;

· You will help to build valued relationships with internal peers and teams across Core Business Services and our service lines;

· You will create clear, concise, high-quality work products and assist the Head of PMO in the day-to-day management of all programmes and projects within our remit

· Be confident and effective in recognising and managing potential issues and risks from the programmes and projects

· You are experienced in raising and mitigating any risks or issues

· Focus on achieving project / programme goals and objectives

· Have experience of full project lifecycle from concept through to implementation

· You will have strong focus on quality and risk management

· You should possess an innovative mindset and look to improve processes on projects

· Identify areas of opportunity and generate ideas and solutions

In line with the above specification, typical activities would include the following:

· Participate in the management of strategic initiatives across UKI

· Drive progress across programmes while managing risk.

· Manage and oversee the PMO support team in all areas

· Solve project and programme issues through collaboration and teaming

· Manage all reporting aspects of project engagements and communicate significant issues and risks to the PMO team

· Manage all communications and collaboration channels

· Build strong internal relationships across all service lines and CBS.


Desired Experience / Attributes

· Strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in a business or project related area

· Experience of working within an agile, flexible professional services environment

· At least 5-7 years’ experience in a similar role

· A strong background in managing large scale transformation programmes, providing advice and guidance on project and programmes, managing and working in a PMO environment

· Ability to lead C-level discussions

· Display highest level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality

Demonstrating experience in a number of the following competencies is beneficial:

· Prince II, PMP or equivalent
