Our Client’s Advisory Services (AS) practice, a specialty advisory practice within their company, provides risk, performance improvement and IT risk services through a suite of industry-focused operational solutions helping companies around the world evaluate and enhance their risk management and business process functions.

We currently have a career opportunities for a Manager - Project Planner/Scheduler to join our Infrastructure Advisory Group. This is a domain within the Advisory services practice, which specializes in advising clients on performance improvement throughout the capital projects lifecycle, as well as working with our clients in Program Management, designing and implementing PMO’s and independent oversight of project performance . Our offerings in this area include assisting in claims and dispute resolutions, subject matter expertise for internal audit support, assessment of project management processes and controls, design and implementation of PMO’s, Program Management of major projects and supporting in project functions including planning/scheduling, cost management, risk management and project controls etc. Typical clients include companies in the Utilities, Oil & Gas, Construction, IT implementation, and Mining industries.

Responsibilities :

  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex construction concepts. Collaborate to create a plan for determining strategies and accomplishing objectives. Participate in the advisory engagement and communicate complex construction issues to the team and the client. Stay informed of emerging technical issues and current business and economic developments.

  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management. Focus on deliverables and client business priorities. Manage expectations of service.

  • Develop and successfully manage to project budget and schedule. Understand the client's industry and recognize key performance drivers and business trends.

  • Develop people. Delegate work effectively. Review work performed by staff, conduct performance reviews, and contribute to on-the-job feedback/training. Foster teamwork and innovative thinking. Understand and follow workplace policies.

  • Commit to developing knowledge. Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery. Respect/protect client information. Maintain an educational program to continually develop skills.

  • Generate new business opportunities. Understand our clients’ service lines and actively assess/present ways they can serve and bring value to clients. Develop long-term relationships and networks. To qualify, candidates must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree with preference for an emphasis in Construction Management, Architecture, or Construction related degree (i.e. Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)

  • Minimum 5 years related experience in Real Estate and Construction industry, good fundamental design and construction project management skills, and solid project controls/project engineering and/or cost engineering experience

  • Blueprint reading, Project Management Office model, construction cost estimation and scheduling and construction industry work experience required

  • PMP certification preferred; certifications which have been earned towards obtaining AIA or Professional Engineer licensing are beneficial

  • Consulting experience and/or internal audit experience preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Excel and Word, MS Office

  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Demonstrated integrity, values, principles, and work ethic

  • Experience and interest in recruiting and professional development

  • Proven experience in business development and sales in the construction or related industry
