This role is a member of the US Strategy Realization Team, which is a function fully dedicated to developing, implementing and managing the execution and installation of the capabilities to enable the Strategy 2020 realization in the US Market. The priorities of the team are assigned by USMLT and all work is routinely monitored by the US Leadership Team on an ongoing basis.
An Associate Director of Operational Excellence on the US Strategy Realization Team is an individual who has ownership of and is fully accountable for delivering results from process improvement and waste reduction projects.
The leader will be accountable for all aspects of the work and will lead the effort across a wide range of stakeholders from both the US Market and our Global Centers of Excellence to ensure strategy realization. The role is likely to have additional opportunities to gain exposure and insight into, and provide support to, other initiatives within Strategy 2020 and US Transformational Initiatives.
Work across GHH to identify operational excellence opportunities, define charters, clarify business value.
Frame business case, trade-off choices and risks for US Market Leadership to ensure optimal project prioritization.
Build strong, open and collaborative working relationships among leadership, peers, and support teams within and outside the organization.
Expertly apply appropriate methodologies and tools, such as Six Sigma, Lean, Agile, Organization Change Management, and Project Management.
Lead process improvement initiatives within GHH, to deliver expense reduction and/or revenue improvement results.
Education Minimum Requirement:
Required Experience and Skills:
6 years of experience in a bio, pharmaceutical or other health care related field.
Lean / Six Sigma Black Belt trained or certified
Ability to develop, oversee and execute comprehensive transformational change plans across a broad group of stakeholders/functions (HQ, field, COEs, strategic partners, executive sponsors, etc.) to work collaboratively and achieve success
Strong executive presence and communication skills with ability to speak with candor when appropriate
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to align various stakeholders to a common goal
Confidence to work independently and successfully navigate through ambiguity.
Strong understanding of compliance-related concepts and application in all job-related functions
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Certification(s) in: Agile / Scrum, Change Execution Management, Project Management
Experience leading a large field or HQ change initiative
Strong understanding of the end-to-end marketing process
Strong understanding of the evolving US healthcare landscape and interdependencies
