Job Description

PwC's US Finance organization is a strategic business advisor responsible for managing the firm's financial risk, including: financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with strategic and tactical matters. Services include: budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, data and analytics related to portfolio performance, shared services and financing. Finance works daily with US Leadership, engagement partners and managers on managing the profitability of engagements and the overall business portfolio. Finance also works closely with the Network on portfolio management and investment decisions and has assisted other PwC Network firms regionalize their financial operations. Finance also analyzes potential acquisitions, joint ventures, partnerships and divestitures, assisting with all integration and separation matters likely to arise.

As a part of Finance, procurement is a centralized team responsible for the purchasing of capital, expensed equipment and services for the Firm. This team oversees vendor relationships with suppliers; reviews outsourcing arrangements; leads supplier diversity initiative; and works as a strategic advisor for other service arrangements (e.g., off-shoring, staff augmentation, etc.).

The Strategy & Sourcing team is responsible for the acquisition of services and capital/expensed equipment and goods. Strategy & Sourcing serves as the relationship manager for both internal clients and suppliers by seeking appropriate solutions for all sourcing needs, creating, reviewing, and negotiating contractual arrangements through thought leadership, subject matter specialization, and strategic advising.

Minimum Years of Experience: 3

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED

Degree(s) Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Skills Preferred:

Experienced in procurement strategies, tactics, processes, procedures, and systems.

Demonstrated ability to:

Collaborate with other Strategy & Sourcing staff and Procurement leadership to provide a consistent, comprehensive procurement process.

Perform sourcing project activities in accordance with Firm guidelines and compliance with arm's length, transparent, and fair bidding processes.

Interact with managers from Finance, US IT, Internal Firm Services, and the business units to identify requirements, coordinate supplier selection, and implement management strategies.

Engage with department leadership, customer groups, and supplier organizations regarding purchase decisions and support creation or delivery of status presentations on sourcing projects with routine to medium complexity, visibility, and impact.

Conduct routine to medium complexity sourcing projects/RFx's (Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Requests for Information (RFI)) with the potential for global, cluster, and local territory impact.

Support RFx's and contracts drafting, negotiations, and renegotiations of agreements with selected suppliers.

Support implementation of strategies for procurement categories and related subcategories.

Prepare, organize, and support structured supplier negotiations to achieve optimum cost and concessions.

Achieve best value for the Firm consistent with ?win/win? supplier relationships.

Apply commodity knowledge and commercial contracts expertise to negotiate and prepare sound, favorable contracts that preserve the Firm's position.

Gather and develop documentation of customer requirements and specifications.

Demonstrate and apply necessary negotiation skills at various levels internally and in the supplier community.

Understand and utilize best practice methods and measures to ensure that the optimum balance of cost and quality is achieved in all contracts.

Team with Operations, Methods & Tools team to ensure best practice protocols are being followed.
