PwC IT supports and develops internal systems and applications for use by PwC staff in all areas across the Network of Firms. IT Business Management is a shared service for PwC IT, Americas IT and US IT.

The IT Business Management

  • Sourcing Management team manages strategic sourcing risks while holding vendors to delivering the highest quality, provides efficient vendor management for IT services, and enhances the processes, practices and methodology aspects of operations, support, and projects. In addition, we are also responsible for the delivery of the IT outsourcing strategy across the aligned IT organizations.

The team is responsible for the operational components and day to day activities associated with the IT sourcing model.

Position/Program Requirements

Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 6 years of proven success in roles involving the following areas:

  • Process and methodology implementations, and

  • Project and program management.

Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or GED

Degree Preferred: Bachelor's degree

Knowledge Preferred:

Demonstrates proven intimate knowledge of, and/or success in roles managing, the delivery of an IT multi-sourcing strategy for the US firm of a global network of professional consulting services firms, including the understanding the following areas:

  • Strategic and operational components of IT's multi-sourcing model; and,

  • Offshore outsourcing models and their drivers and benefits.

Skills Preferred:

Demonstrates proven intimate abilities and success with implementing strategy and offshore delivery models for one or more functions within an IT organization by influencing project and program leaders within the organization to adopt standard industry practices in offshore management and transition management, which includes the following areas:

  • Collaborating with functional leaders in IT to plan, develop and implement a phased program to offshore components of their delivery and/or projects in accordance with an established multi-sourcing strategy;

  • Working with project and/or functional owners to establish and plan an appropriate mix of onshore and offshore resources from multiple vendors to provide high-quality deliverables while protecting the Firm from risk;

  • Planning and executing capacity requirements for flexible

resources and work with domestic and global vendors to deliver on these requirements by managing and tracking offshore metrics with respect to the functional group;

  • Managing budgeted spend on resources, domestic contractors and offshore, in order to drive efficiencies into overall spend;

  • Defining and documenting processes for offshore engagements, including creating processes and artifacts for the different stages of offshoring

discovery of engagements that can be offshored, driving resources planning, executing the project, verifying the project status, and working with offshore management to measure performance results;

  • Using extensive general business knowledge and specific knowledge of outsourcing and/or offshoring to help clients throughout the strategic sourcing lifecycle

analyze, transact, implement, manage and/or optimize, and/or terminate;

  • Promoting collaborative communication between teams, including transparent and clear communications between the onsite and the offshore teams, and delivering relevant, accurate and up-to-date reports to leadership on the performance of the offshore operations;

  • Developing and analyzing performance metrics, risks, and controls—especially identifying new programs, training and continuous process improvement for Offshore Operations function to align service delivery with customer needs and preferences.

  • Problem-solving and negotiation skills in relationship management, stakeholder management, change management, and influencing without authority;

  • Working effectively within tight deadlines and firm schedules, adapting to and embracing a rapidly changing environment;

  • Developing and strengthening relationships outside of the functional team, focusing on understanding the needs of those who depend on the team's services and those who deliver services on which the team depends; and,

  • Working with a diverse team, developing staff, managing project budgets, developing and maintaining strong client relationships, and leading multiple projects with group facilitation and presentations.
