National Grid Lead Data Analyst, Management Data Analysis in Syracuse, New York

* National Grid is hiring a Lead Analyst for our Facilities department in Syracuse, NY.*

Job Purpose

The Process and Performance Lead will help to continue to advance the Property Services department along its path of continuous improvement. As a Lead the expectations of this role include: Completion of process and performance projects on time, scoping and identification of projects outside of those already identified, identification of metrics which will help improve team productivity or efficiency, and becoming a trusted advisor to the organization for questions regarding process and performance. Our team supports the entirety of Property Services including: Land Survey, Rights of Way, Facilities, Real Estate, and Capital Projects. The projects run by the team have the potential to impact National Grid as a whole.

Key Accountabilities

  • Creation of documentation including but not limited to project Charter, Schedules, and Tollgates as needed.

  • Creation of artifacts for performance meetings at all levels.

  • Supporting team members in creation of data visualizations to demonstrate performance

  • Conduct workshops and meetings as required to complete assigned tasks

  • Develop metrics that demonstrate speed, time, or cost performance

  • Management and communication with key stakeholders across the business

Qualifications

  • Expert level understanding of process improvement work

  • Passion for data and data enabled business process improvements

  • Expert Level lean skillset (Process Mapping, Critical Problem Solving, Data analysis, Solution Selection, Kaizen events, Mistake Proofing, Kanban applied digitally)

  • Good communicator

  • Experienced successfully completing projects with diverse team members who do not report to you

  • Strong facilitation skills

  • Experienced user of MS office suite including Word, Excel, PPT

  • Experience with Visio or similar, Sharepoint, and MS Power App

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification

  • Experience using Tableau or Power BI to create data visualizations

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience working in a fast-paced operations environment

  • Experience working with strong personalities to negotiate competing priorities
