We're inspired to ask better questions. We work with our clients to create more innovative answers, collaborating across the organisation, helping them improve finance and business processes and delivering the technology to make it happen. Our global connectivity means we combine deep operational consulting capability with industry-specific leading practices. We have alliances with organisations such as SAP and Microsoft, so clients get the benefits of their insight. This ongoing collaboration means, together, we can support better outcomes and long-lasting results.

The opportunity

As one of the largest Finance Function consultancies delivering programs globally to clients across a range of sectors, EY is at the forefront of enabling digitisation and automation of the finance function – ultimately enabling finance talent to thrive and add more value to their business. You can expect to work on meaningful, large-scale projects across multiple industries to help digitise and stream line Finance and develop solutions using technology to improve business, customer and employee outcomes.

Your key responsibilities

We’re looking for someone who is passionate, engaged and able to champion, develop solutions and implement leading finance technologies. Enable our clients to achieve more from Finance through reducing operational costs, improving the customer experience and increasing organisational speed and agility.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Finance Function Consulting or Finance Functional improvement experience in a large organisation

  • Relevant technology implementation experience in either ERP (SAP), Performance Management (Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Board), Last Mile of Finance (Blackline, Trintech)or Robotic Process Automation

  • Solution design to solve Finance and broader business challenges

  • An effective communicator and influencer

  • A demonstrated interest in digital finance transformation and finance function innovation.

As markets rapidly change and develop, finance functions must demonstrate real added value to their business. As a finance advisor, you’ll use your experience and knowledge to help deliver greater insight – delivering functional efficiencies as well as transforming the role of finance in our clients’ businesses. You’ll be developing innovative, sustainable ways to improve the management of people, processes and systems, working alongside other finance professionals in high-performing teams.

And as you deliver exceptional client service, you’ll have the opportunity to address some of the biggest issues facing organisations today – supported by structured learning and development. With a network stretching across the world, the projects you work on will cross borders and sectors, providing unrivalled experience. So whenever you join, however long you stay, the exceptional EY experience lasts a lifetime.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • Experience working with, or implementing technologies that are heavily used within leading Finance Functions

  • An IT and/or a Finance orientated tertiary qualification – or an ability to demonstrate equivalent work experience.

What we look for

We’re interested in leaders with a genuine creative vision and the confidence to make it happen. You can expect plenty of autonomy in this role, so you’ll also need the ability to take initiative and seek out opportunities to improve our current relationships and processes. If you’re serious about Finance and ready to take on some of our clients’ most complex issues, this role is for you.
