Communications Specialist, Mid

Key Role:

Create, design, and write complex publication materials, employee communications, newsletters, bulletins, and informational materials for internal or external audiences. Interview subject matter experts and develop an original approach for each story line. Assist with establishing editorial or departmental standards, as needed. Edit the work of or provide guidance and direction to junior staff, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with all facets of communications, including content development, executive messaging, and tactical communications, such as newsletters, article development, and editing or quality review

-Knowledge of communication strategy and planning

-Ability to write to a broad audience clearly and concisely

-TS/SCI clearance required

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of the intelligence community and DoD

-Ability to work individually or as a member of a team

-BA or BS degree and 5 years of experience in a professional work environment or 7 years of experience in a professional work environment may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
