As a Trade Relations Director you will assume a highly visible role and be responsible for negotiations on high dollar contracts with pharmaceutical manufacturers. In this non-supervisory Director level position, you will engage with cross functional teams across the organization.

Additional account management duties include:

  • Partnering with the Senior Director and SVP of Trade Relations in negotiation strategies with pharmaceutical manufacturers for branded drugs that market in one or more specific therapeutic areas

  • Leading discussions and negotiations for rebates where SilverScript is the Prescription Drug Plan, providing input and recommendations for formulary strategies, positioning, and negotiation of contracts that support those strategies

  • Positively developing and fostering strong direct relationships with manufacturers and industry partners

  • Maintaining accountability for managing assigned manufacturers

We are searching for a confident, creative professional with a background in complex contract negotiations that has led and managed multiple manufacturer relationships. Your strategic vision, critical thinking, and creativity will aid in your success. A professional presence, excellent presentation and communication skills are a requirement in engaging and interacting with manufacturers and internal colleagues.

Required Qualifications

-Minimum of 8 years of negotiation and business development experience with demonstrated success in managing multiple business relationships and contracts, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry

-Mandatory travel up to 15%

Preferred Qualifications

-Experience negotiating contracts in the Healthcare or PBM industry.

-Experience in the managed care industry which may include PBM, Pharmaceutical Manufacturer, pharmaceutical market access, large account management, specialty pharmacy negotiation, or health plan experience

-Successful coordination of key decisions makers and ability to elevate critical issues to conclusion

Education

Bachelor's degree required or High School Diploma/GED accompanied by adequate years of related work experience.
