Job Description

The Senior Manager for Engineering and Delivery, is responsible for ensuring that the right engineering decisions are made for the assigned portfolios, program and projects, risks are identified and mitigated and solutions align to Enterprise direction and future state road maps You will focus on delivering CVS Health next generation architecture and system integrations in support of business growth and healthcare integration. You will influence business leaders, IT Leadership and application engineering in delivering on CVS Health strategic and tactical imperatives.

You should have the manage to design systems for high availability, continuous availability, security, service ability and reliability.

The Senior Manager for Engineering and Delivery Engineering Executive Advisor is responsible for but not limited to:

You will be an application owners working with business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range technical solutions that meet business requirements.

You will lead teams in transformative delivery engagement as the program owner.

You will offer the highest-level technical leadership in developing vision, strategy,architecture and overall design for assigned domain and projects; as well as have responsibility for project estimation process for new architectural elements.

You will actively facilitate complex design and technical discussions, reconciling differing opinions and drives decision-making process.

You will provide expert level advisory services on application, integration, data and security architecture components for portfolio, program and project as assigned.

You will provide integration services across applications and lines of business to optimize the exchange of information insecure, agile and resilient manner.

You will troubleshoot complex performance and availability issues/severity events when required

Required Qualifications

8 years of professional IT Engineering experience including the following:

  • Handling Large and Complex Projects

  • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience in software development

  • Minimum 3-5 years leading/managing a software development team

  • 5+ years of experience envisioning, designing and delivering technology

  • 5+ years tech lead or tech manager with delivery experience.

  • 3+ years of B2B/B2C integration Experience in SOA/API/Services/mobile/ecommerce platforms with previous hands on experience.

  • Must also have five years of experience with J2EE based enterprise applications Management System (RDBMS) and UNIX.

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of experience required. Will accept Master’s degree and 5 years of experience.

Education

A Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or closely related technical field with 3 years of software development and application architecture. Will accept Master’s degree and 5 years of experience.
