CVS Health Advisor Application Develop - Bigdata in Scottsdale, Arizona

Job Description

The Advisor, Application Development will leverage cutting edge big data technologies to lead enterprise level data initiatives by designing and developing a Big Data platform through database design, data modeling and ETL development. Gather and process raw data at scale to include but not limited to writing scripts, calling APIs and building ETL Processes. Conduct business analysis, event modeling, logical and physical database design using Erwin, database optimization, load strategy design and implementation. Use knowledge of standard commercial databases (Oracle, Teradata, DB2). Work in Teradata systems and use utilities such as MultiLoad, FastLoad, FastExport, BTEQ, TPump, Teradata SQL. Utilize Data Analysis, SQL, and Performance Tuning. Develop database solutions by designing proposed system; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications. Provide database support by coding utilities, responding to user questions, and resolving problems. Interact and collaborate with other IT teams including application development, peer reviews, testing, operations, security and compliance and project management office, as well as business customers and external vendors.

Required Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field and 5 years of application development experience in a retail, healthcare, or PBM environment. Must have 5 years of experience in the following: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); creating functional and technical design specifications; database tuning; Oracle; Teradata; ETL software; and Erwin. Must also have 3 years of experience in Hive
