Job Description

CVS Specialty Pharmacy has an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist - Specialty Pharmacy (Per Diem) to join our mail service pharmacy in the San Diego, CA area.

As a Pharmacist (Per Diem) you will have the ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare professionals and provide leadership and guidance to supporting staff. This position is responsible for interacting with the health care professionals in the provision and coordination of customer care.

Additionally, you will direct supportive personnel, such as PSR’s and Pharmacy Technicians, in the daily activities they perform as it pertains to clinical and distributive activities. They ensure these activities are performed to CVS Health standards and in accordance with written SOP’s and regulatory constraints. The Pharmacist has primary responsibility related to distributive services to ensure the correct medication and related items are appropriately picked, packed, and distributed to patients. Activities associated with these services include checking orders that are prepared for delivery by supportive personnel in a manner that prevents errors from occurring

Required Qualifications

Prior experience providing exceptional customer service ensuring that both medical professionals and patients are responded to with accurate and timely information.

  • Proven ability to work in teams, providing leadership to enable timely completion of assigned work requirements.

  • Current license as a CA Pharmacist in good standing.

Specialty medication experience

Education

This position required a degree in pharmacy from an accredited School of Pharmacy
