Game Software Developer, Junior

Key Role:

Serve as a game designer to support product design and development. Work closely with a group of artists and software developers in a fast-paced team environment, including designing and developing solutions for multimedia products for multi-user applications, 3D simulations, and virtual environments. Develop interactive capabilities for standalone and Web-based gaming applications using C# and the Unity 3D gaming engine. Leverage experience with using object-oriented principles. Work with clients to develop and implement novel immersive solutions to complex and open-ended problems in training and operational environments, work in an excellent team environment, including mentoring junior team members, and produce robust software for novel applications. Meet development schedules and support the integration and test of the developed software. Participate in design reviews and create software documentation for the software under development. This position is located in Austin, TX.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with game development using 3D engines, including Unreal, Unity, Lumberyard, or Crytek

-Experience with developing software solutions for console, PC, or mobile platforms

-Experience with 3D game or simulation technologies, Web technologies, including HTML, CSS, or JavaScript, WebGL, and mobile device applications

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Web development in HTML, Dreamweaver, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, or Java

-Experience with mobile development

-Experience with Web 2.0 development

-Experience with instructional design and learning management systems (LMS)

-Knowledge of software development lifecycles

-Knowledge of optimization processes

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
