As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to improve a DoD agency's mission partners' enterprise systems through design and implementation of both strategic and tactical capabilities. Your customer will trust you to not only design and develop these systems, but also evolve them with advanced technology solutions. You’ll develop your skills in systems engineering while gaining experience in DevSecOps, enterprise architecture and project management. 3+ years of experience with infrastructure system engineering, including systems analysis, technical reviews, generating and evaluating system requirements, engineering management plan development, verification of requirements, architectural design implementation and documentation
3+ years of experience in designing, developing, deploying or testing in a cloud environment
Knowledge of federal compliance and guidance such as DoDAF, RMF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework or NIST 800 series
Ability to provide briefings on emerging technologies
Top Secret clearance
HS Diploma or GED and 4 years of experience with systems engineering
Nice If You Have:
3+ years with conducting engineering analyses on legacy environment, establish requirements, dependencies, and risks associated with transitioning systems
3+ years of experience with engineering future architecture concepts, to include potential migration to the cloud as well as state of the art network, data center and host security defenses
Experience with supporting acquisition, procurement, and contracting activities to drive state-of-the art confidentiality and integrity for systems
Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations
Knowledge of Agile, DevOps or DevSecOps
Knowledge of Linux command line
Knowledge of Project Management and Agile processes
Ability to work independently and with others
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and environments and keep current with industry certification
Ability to demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to demonstrate good time management and organizational skills
DoD 8570 certification
BA or BS degree in CS, Statistics, Mathematics, or related technical field or equivalent experience preferred
Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
