JPMorgan Chase Corporate Insurance Services – Vice President – Casualty Insurance Claims Manager in Plano, Texas
Corporate Insurance Services, a unit of JPMorgan Chase’s Chief Administrative Office (CAO), is responsible for managing the firm’s global insurance needs; e.g., placement of insurance coverage, management of insurance claims, contract reviews, etc.
The candidate will be responsible for the management of JPMorgan Chase’s domestic workers’ compensation, general liability and auto liability claims. The candidate will examine casualty insurance claims holistically from both a macro and micro approach in order to maximize overall program results. Additionally the candidate will help facilitate the clear and concise communication between the involved parties of the claim in order to resolve all maters in a timely and cost effective manner. The manager would oversee a staff of approximately two insurance claims analysts.
Responsibility for overall workers compensation, auto and generalliability claims program and third party subrogation.
Develop, monitor, and adjust consistent claim handling processes for: claimsadministrators, insurers and defense counsel.
Develop, implement, monitor and revise as appropriate claimadministration policies and procedures to be used by stakeholders.
Develop working relationships with claims administrators, insurers anddefense counsel; analyze their work product in relationship to JPMC’s needs,claim strategies and philosophies and make recommendations.
Identify, analyze and suggest strategies to potential or existing exposuresto the firm.
Develop and produce management reports.
Improve claim trends and lower claims costs.
Review and approve reserve and settlements within department guidelinesand authority levels.
Hire, develop and retain top claims analyst talent.
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with keystakeholders within JPMC; e.g., Legal, Medical, Health and Safety.
Facilitate quarterly claims reviews with insurers, defense counsel and claimadministrators.
Address performance issues with administrators, defense counsel andstaff.
Propose settlement and trial strategy recommendations to seniormanagement.
Be a Subject Matter Expert and internal resource that JPMC departmentscan depend upon.
Bachelor’sdegree with a concentration in business, risk management and/or insurance.
7 plus years casualty claims management experience (highly prefer workcomp and general liability experience).
3 plus years of supervisory/managerial experience at an insurancecompany, third party administrator, broker and /or mid to largecorporation.
Good knowledge of tort and workers compensation laws, preferablynationwide.
Extensive experience handling complex litigated claims and claimsissues.
Ability to devise coverage positions.
Ability to direct defense counsel, develop litigation and claimhandling strategies.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
CPCUor ARM or other certification aplus.
Proficientin Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
RiskManagement Information System (RMIS) experience preferred.
