JPMorgan Chase Associate, Software Engineering - Applications Support in Plano, Texas

As a member of our Software Engineering Group you will dive head-first into creating innovative solutions that advance businesses and careers. You’ll join an inspiring and curious team of technologists dedicated to improving the design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming that goes into creating high quality software and new products. You’ll be tasked with keeping the team and other key stakeholders up to speed on the progress of what’s being developed. Coming in with an understanding of the importance of end-to-end software development-such as Agile frameworks-is key. And best of all, you’ll be working with and sharing ideas, information and innovation with our global team of technologists from all over the world.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BAdegree or equivalent experience

  • Advancedknowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

  • Understandingof architecture and design across all systems

  • Workingproficiency in developmental tool sets

  • Abilityto collaborate with high-performing teams and individuals throughout thefirm to accomplish common goals

  • Proficiencyin one or more general purpose programming languages: Java, JavaScript,.Net, Ruby, Python, Bash, PowerShell

  • 5years information technology experience with a minimum of 3 years of Javaexperience

  • Additionalexperience preferred with .Net and Struts 1.2 Framework

  • 5+years of Application Development work experience throughout the full projectdelivery lifecycle. Programming language experience (e.g. Java, node.js,JavaScript, .NET, PHP)

  • 2+years Application Production management and Support with proven successresolving the actual root cause of issues

  • 3+years experience in log analysis and system health monitoring tools. i.e. Splunk,DynaTrace, CloudWatch; infrastructure engineering, especially as relatesto Digital and Web channels; Java/J2EE technology stack and webtechnologies; relational databases such as DB2 and Casandra; queue technologies, such asMQ/JMS/Kafka; Resolving hardware and software hygiene breaks

  • Debuggingskills, understanding of JavaScript, jQuery, basic Unix commands, shell scripting,Bit bucket code repository tool

  • Knowledgein Oracle 10/11g and/or SQL databases

  • Linux(Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server and associatedtechnologies (Active Directory, Exchange etc.)

  • Oneor more Web and Application Server technologies (e.g. Apache HTTPD, ApacheTomcat, Nginx, Glassfish, JBoss, Puma, Passenger, IIS)

  • Experiencewith Incident Management methodologies, systems and tools. Provenexperience in incident/problem management

  • Excellentcommunication verbal and written skills and interpersonal skills with theability to contribute in key stakeholder meetings. Comfortable providing clear problemdescriptions in terminology understood by a broad audience in a timesensitive environment.

  • Strongknowledge of relevant applications and development life cyclemethodologies, including Agile

  • Experienceworking with geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups

  • Oneor more DevOps, Orchestration/Configuration Management and ContinuousIntegration technology (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Docker, Jenkins, Ansible, BMCAtrium Orchestrator etc.) a plus

  • Oneor more scripting language (e.g. Bash, PowerShell, Ruby, Python,eb-extensions) a plus

  • AWSCerts a plus

  • Bankingand/or financial services industry experiences a plus
