Verizon Construction Control Manager in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

What you’ll be doing...

This position is to join the Construction Control Management team in the Operations Control Center for the Mid-Atlantic North Region. Construction Control Managers have the responsibility for project managing construction activity across the regional footprint to ensure adherence to the Engineering Work Schedule and will facilitate Construction movement to the Center Dispatch Model.

  • Will work directly with 7-10 Construction Local Managers in their assigned geographic turf daily.

  • Engineering Interface, Resolving Roadblocks, Validating Engineering Work Orders are ready for Center Dispatch, Material Sign Off/ Inventory Control, Project Management, Compliance Management, and Construction Capacity Management and Dispatch Integration.

  • Interface regularly with Engineering, Staff Support, Dispatch and Construction Field Operations counterparts.

  • Deliver training, presentations, and reports from Associate to Director Level.

  • Strong collaboration with internal and external partners to optimize and maximize resources.

  • Engineering and Executive Reporting/Analytics experience desired.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Role may grow to include supervision of unionized direct reports.

  • Some travel up to 25% of the time to anywhere in the Mid-Atlantic North Geographic area.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years or relevant work experience.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • 3+ years of experience in Construction Field Operations, Engineering, or CMC Role.

  • Field Operations experience coupled with strong Executive Reporting, Staff Support, and/or Data Analytics experience.

  • Familiarity with the following systems: vBuild, EPM, vSAP, CTC, Manager Central, and Microsoft Office Suite (specifically ability to manipulate Excel).

  • Familiarity with the following systems: WFA-DO, COA-D, Work Manager, and COA Scheduler.

  • Previous experience delivering reports to Director Level.

  • Familiarity with the Dispatch Capacity Management Model.

  • Previous experience managing unionized Center Associates.

  • Lean Six Sigma or similar training.
