American Electric Power Turbine Coord in Pittsburg, Texas
Please note: The successful candidate will not be required to relocate to be home based at the Welsh Plant. The successful candidate will be able to work out of an AEP facility in the Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas area.
This position is the second level of the Turbine Coordination training program. Trainees will continue learn and master basic turbine maintenance skills and develop a better understanding of equipment and the maintenance processes and procedures including but not limited to: outage planning and scheduling, BFP turbines, generators, ancillary equipment, vibration equipment and data collection, alignment techniques, and site failure analysis. Must be able to advance to Turbine Coordinator Sr within a reasonable amount of time of 3 to 5 years. Learn and apply AEP safe work practices and procedures. Learn requirements for planning, scheduling, manning, and project sequencing. Learn alignment procedures learn major component clearance requirements. Learn to follow QA, QC processes, develop ability to write basic procedures. Learn relationships of all required support, specialized equipment, contractors, vendors, OEM's, and Engineering Learn to perform operational reviews, develop trouble shooting skills, develop start up support experience Learn aspects of Generators, Boiler Feed Pump Turbines, and ancillary equipment.

Education: Associate Degree in a technical related field or 5 years of maintenance turbine experience. Must have completed turbine Assc level training or prove mastery of subject matter. Experience: 2 years experience as a Turbine Coordinator Assc or equivalent.
