Receipt & Distribution Specialist

As a Mail Services Receipt & Distribution Specialist II, you will be responsible for processing all mail functions including but not limited to:

  • Operation of functional equipment, including metering, x-ray, inserting (where applicable) and other equipment.

  • Stage work for courier pickup including required manifest(s) and documentation.

  • Receive, sort, open, scan, weigh, deliver/distribute, and pick up incoming and outgoing work.

  • Identify receipt of tampered work and escalate as appropriate.

  • Basic record keeping and tracking of data as required by management.

  • May be required to alternate between other locations within job location state to provide coverage as needed as well as variation of work hours to conform to needed coverage.

  • Handling of specialized items.

  • Resolving discrepancies and performing escalations.

  • Ability to follow directions, show initiative, work and perform duties under minimal supervision, and follow through on tasks.

  • Good customer service skills, attentiveness, able to interact positively and pleasant.

  • Willingly offer assistance and openly share knowledge with others.

  • Able to work productively in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Able to resolve problems.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prior experience in a GBDS mail production environment required.Knowledge required:

  • Knowledge of GBDS Mail Operations.

  • Knowledge of internal lines of business and client relationships.

  • Advanced understanding of related internal processing systems.
