Job Description:

The position is for an Attivio development lead and solution architect. The role is someone who is hands on coding and will work closely with Project Managers, Data Analysts, and development team members and create solution designs for Search Analytics projects. The candidate will support projects with Attivio product knowledge, implementation of data and architecture standards.The ideal candidate will be comfortable analyzing data at scale, have experience implementing, extending, and debugging data science solutions, and have expertise in designing and building high-leverage data infrastructure and tools.

The candidate will serve as a seasoned/proficient technical resource, who is routinely accountable for their technical knowledge.

Required Skills:

  • MUST have excellent knowledge of Java.

  • 6-8 years of experience designing large scale data models for data warehouses / Search engines / Hadoop environments using Attivio, SOLR, Elastic or other large scale commercial search engines

  • 6-8 years of experience designing large scale data models for data warehouse environments using Attivio and preferably any Search Analytics projects.

  • Experience with integrating or architecting systems for enterprise customers, such as ERP, Data Warehousing/BI or Information Retrieval.

  • Working experience with Big Data Technologies like Hadoop

  • Industry experience in Finance including banking, corporate finance, insurance, investments banks and other financial institutions.

  • To gather business requirements, perform analysis and provide comprehensive solutions for data integration architecture needs.

  • Lead approach with business users, impacting cross-functional teams

  • Develop tactical plans deriving from the detail data analysis.

  • Develop the logical dimensional model(s), Data Sourcing Analysis, Solution Design Documents, System Architecture diagrams.

  • Ensure designs are in compliance with Enterprise Architecture standards and produce documents for evidence.

  • Prepare and oversee prototype models to support the development efforts.

  • Influence strategic direction of the development team in converting the logical model(s) to physical.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with enterprise search products, including open source products like Lucene/SOLR, desired but not essential.

  • UXD/UI experience

  • Spring framework

  • Web services and Web related standards (HTTP, HTML, XML, XSLT)

  • Experience with Hadoop technology (Hive, YARN, HBase, HDFS)

  • Experience with Javascript, JSP, CSS, AngularJS, REST

  • Experience with Git, Eclipse, JSON, Maven

  • Extract/Transform/Load (ETL)

  • Linguistics, semantic analysis, categorization and/or text mining, query optimization, performance profiling & optimization

  • Business intelligence systems, relational databases (especially query optimization, indexing schemes, etc).

  • Experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems

  • Experience with agile development

  • Excellent business communication skills, written and verbal

  • Excellent ability to capture/consult on comprehensive requirements and produce detailed design documents for complex implementations

  • Excellent ability to profile and analyze java application performance, including garbage collection performance

  • Ability to calculate the scale of large distributed applications in terms of disk, memory and CPU usage
