JPMorgan Chase Software Engineer in Palo Alto, California

Duties: Responsible for building a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application using salesforce platform and cloud based technology. Design, develop, test, and implement customized business systems software applications with key areas of expertise in enterprise architecture, including integration technologies, single sign-on, and API management. Deliver high quality code that complies with standards and satisfies architectural tests. Mentoring junior developers in the areas of design and development. Perform code reviews and assist in supporting the application in all required environments. Develop and implement best practices and practice continuous process improvement. Collaborate with the client, product owner, and team members to refine and design application features with business value. Provide status reports and written feedback on progress made.

Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as an IT Consultant, Application Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Applications, Computer Science, or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or as an IT Consultant, Application Developer, or related occupation in lieu of a Master's degree and three (3) years of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience with the following: developing applications using core java multithreading and collections, J2EE, JSP, and Servlets; designing and developing applications; all phases of the SDLC process; and developing oracle database store procedures, PL/SQL, triggers, indexes, views development, and query performance tuning. This position requires two (2) years of experience with developing applications using EJB, JDBC, Springs Core, Spring MVC, and Web Services (SOAP and Rest API); development with API Management Tools such as IBM DataPower Service Gateway or Apigee; and implementation with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) using integration tools such as Jenkins.
