Lockheed Martin Advanced Prototyping, Mettalics, and Functional Test in Palmdale, California
Description: This role supervises hourly and salary employees in ADP Prod Ops FORT . They design/fabricate parts, build assemblies, test or modify components made of wood, metal, composite, and/or plastic through machining, drilling, welding, or bonding operations. In addition, provides estimates for proposal purposes; plans and executes structural tests of aircraft components and vehicles; Works from blueprints, drawings, or verbal instructions using math and basic computer skills; Responsible for the assignment of work, technical interpretations and compliance with prescribed manufacturing policies and procedures; Coordination of production start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers; Initiate wage actions consistent with labor agreement and appropriate management discretion. Plans and coordinates internal and manufacturing within the ADP FORT working to project schedules and budgets. Monitor and verify cost and quality in accordance with program requirements or other control procedures. Responsible to develop new manufacturing technologies supporting future platforms.

-- Current of new manufacturing processes and techs, Prototyping Manufacturing Experience
-- Ability to determine priorities of scheduled and drop in work.
-- LM21 certified (green/black belt)
-- Familiar with SFM/E4C execution systems
-- Technical Degree (IE, ME, AE, etc...)
-- 6+ years previous in a manufacturing environment (metallics, functional test, machining)
-- Interprets blueprints, manufacturing procedures, instruction manuals, specifications and engineering orders to clarify and resolve such functional problems related to production, processing, fabrication, and assembly.
-- Experience in planning projects, developing manpower plans, forecasting budget requirements and tracking execution (EVMS) for manufacturing efforts.
-- Program start-up experience
