Description: The Senior Manager of Visual Communications establishes strategic direction for the MFC creative team, including photo, video and graphic design, web, 3-D and animation to ensure their efforts align to corporate strategies and MFC’s key business objectives. The senior manager must be a strategic thinker with experience in visual communications disciplines and demonstrated leadership abilities. The senior manager will partner with the LOB Communications directors and the Communications Functional Excellence director to ensure alignment with business priorities.

• Establish the Visual Communications strategy and vision that aligns with the overarching Communications and MFC strategy

• Manage and mentor team, ensuring they are aligned to the company and corporate strategy; developing strategic thinkers/trusted advisors and growing their leadership teams in a consistent manner.

• Collaborate with the Corporate Visual Communications senior leadership team to ensure alignment to enterprise strategic priorities.

• Collaborate with Digital Communications team to provide input to strategic roadmap and technology exploration and investment to ensure we are able to support the emerging needs of our key stakeholders.

• Collaborate with Functional and LOB leadership to provide consistent, strategic brand presence that supports key business objectives, strategic priorities and challenges to ensure we are providing best-in-class creative solutions.

• Develop a Visual Communications intake process.

• Collaborate with our reprographics on projects to enforces quality, consistency, effectiveness and brand support

• Provide prudent fiscal planning and oversight, meeting all Visual Communications budgetary requirements, including contractors, training, travel, hardware/software, employee engagement, etc.

• Assess and report Visual Communications metrics and evaluate emerging trends and best practices.

• Manage MFC’s representation on the corporate Visual Communications council.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with proven experience developing a team and coaching to help others achieve their potential.
