Lockheed Martin Senior Reliability Engineer / FMECA / FRACAS / Orlando, FL in Orlando, Florida

Description: This is a Reliability Engineering position that will provide FRACAS support to the Sniper/LANTIRN Programs. The support includes:

-Management of the failure investigation of failure trends to identify root cause, corrective action, and implementation of the corrective action.

-Development and update of Reliability, Maintainability, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA),and Testability/Built-In-Test (BIT) analysis on Sniper and LANTIRN NRE activities.

-Interface with the Reliability Engineering Team, Depot Team, and Program Management to convey failure trends, and status of failure investigations.

-Interface with mechanical/electrical/systems engineering and procurement to help direct the failure investigation of a particular trend.

-Participation in Corrective Action Boards (CAB) and Failure Review Boards (FRB).

-Identify Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) trends to identify and prioritize failure modes to investigate for corrective actions.

-Recognizing opportunities for improvement based on failure data, sustainment costs, support development and implementation of system design improvements.

-Assess effectiveness of incorporated corrective actions.

-Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECP), support Concept Screening Board (CSB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB).

Basic Qualifications:

Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college (preferably engineering focused) OR equivalent professional experience with combined education.

Candidates are required to have one or more of the following:

-Experienced with reliability FRACAS and driving failure investigations to root cause and corrective action.

-Experience with performing reliability predictions using Relex or like Software.

-Experience with the FMECA process including a general understanding of circuit design and schematics.

Additional Required Experience:

-Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

-Experience with developing and delivering presentations to peers as well as management.

-Possess strong computer skills, including in-depth knowledge of MS Office software.

Desired Skills:

-Active Secret Security clearance with an Investigation in the past 5 years.

-Bachelor of Science in an Engineering Field (BSEE, BSCE, BSET)

-Familiarity with System Hazard Analysis (SHA), Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Safety Assessment Reports (SAR).

-Maintainability and Testability/Built-In-Test (BIT) engineering experience.
