CVS Health Senior Advisor, Finance Analytics - Client P&L in Northbrook, Illinois
Individual will be part of a small team (4 employees) specifically created to deliver value to our 2019 budget. This person will have significant impact to our bottom line and will be responsible for creating new reporting tools, analyze massive amounts of data, create new process and influence others. The person will have expertise in starting with raw data and transforming this into client financial impacts.
• The Analytics Sr. Advisor will…
o Be responsible for designing, developing and delivering analytic solutions.
o Accessing data, constructing and manipulating large datasets to support planned analyses, using SAS, Excel, SQL, and similar tools;
o Develop tools / dashboards to support, manage and report on various strategies.
o Coordinate the efforts across company teams that can include Specialty, Retail, Clinical Ops, IT/TI, Product Development, Finance, various departments in Trade and Finance, account teams, and other corporate departments.
o Managing complex projects related to a wide variety of financial, utilization, and operational business needs.
-3+ years’ experience in analytics
-2+ years' experience in SAS or other database software
-Experience in Microsoft Excel-based modeling
-Experience using business analytics to problem solve data-driven questions
-Experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large data sets and then using it to draw conclusions
-Experience conducting data analyses using basic and advanced skills in statistics and database management
-Experience coaching and mentoring a diverse group of colleagues both on your immediate team and in other departments
-Ability to interact with all level of management, including VPs and executives.
-Prior experience or knowledge of PBM industry or pharmaceuticals is preferred
-Experience writing macros within VBA
-Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to and fielding questions from executives
-Extensive experience in a position requiring problem solving, problem analysis and creative solutions skills.
-Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and follow up skills.
-Ability to interact with others in a collegial and professional manner and help foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to complete key tasks
-Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
-Aptitude to communicate complex analytic findings and conclusions in an easy to understand way
-Bachelor’s degree required
-Master's degree preferred.
-Degree related to finance, mathematics, operations, statistics, actuarial science, epidemiology, economics or other data related fields preferred.
