CVS Health Finance Consultant - Client P&L Triage in Northbrook, Illinois
The Finance Consultant - Client P&L Triage will be part of a small team (4 employees) specifically created to deliver value to our 2019 budget. This person will have significant impact to our bottom line and will be responsible for building and maintaining business rules and process for ensuring client change requests are financially assessed before implementation. This will involve evaluating the areas of impact of various change requests submitted by sales or others on specific clients, working with internal partners to determine which changes are likely impactful or not, documenting standard operating procedures and approval flows, and assisting in building and maintaining a technology solution to efficiently route these requests.
• The Triage Consultant will…
o Be responsible for evaluating a change’s potential financial impact using existing models or by working with internal partners.
o Support the development of new tools to automate some reviews and approvals of various client changes or product implementations
o Access data via Excel and potentially SQL tools such as SAS
o Coordinate the efforts across company teams that can include Specialty, Retail, Clinical Ops, Product Development, Finance, various departments in Trade and Finance, account teams, and other departments to ensure proper controls are in place to review changes to a client’s benefit design, formulary or implementation of a product
-1+ year experience in analytics or designing, implementing and optimizing new business processes
-1+ year experience in Microsoft Excel-based analysis
-Prior experience or knowledge of PBM industry or pharmaceuticals is preferred
-Ability to interact with others in a professional manner and help foster teamwork and knowledge sharing to complete key tasks
-Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and follow up skills.
-Prior experience working across many different groups within an organization
-Prior experience designing, implementing and optimizing new business processes
-Strong presentation and communication skills with experience presenting to various business groups
-Aptitude to communicate complex findings and conclusions in an easy to understand way
-Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment and manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
-Bachelor’s degree required
-Degree related to finance, mathematics, operations, statistics, actuarial science, epidemiology, economics or other data related fields, preferred.
