Merck 2020 Outcomes Research Oncology Graduate Intern in North Wales, Pennsylvania

Job Description

The Future Talent Program features internships that lasts up to 12 weeks and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Research Labs can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The summer intern position is tailored to support our Company’s cardiometabolic product portfolio. The intern will gain experience with real world data generation, health economic modeling and developing real world data strategies to meet customer needs. Those seeking a career in epidemiology, health economics, health management and policy are strongly encouraged to apply.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Candidates must be currently pursuing a masters' or PhD in outcomes research, epidemiology, economics, pharmacy, medicine, or public health

  • Candidates must have completed at least their one year of study by June of 2020.

  • Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks beginning in May or June of 2020

  • Candidates must have quantitative research and analytics experience, and knowledge of statistical techniques

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Candidates should have leadership skills with ability to work in high performance teams and/or matrix organization.

  • Candidates should have a technical background.

  • Candidates should be able to clearly articulate the needs of our company and/or vendor along with the challenges of outsourcing and to successfully negotiate with those roles that have the direct empowerment for results.

  • Candidates should have proficiency in Excel, Word, Office 365 and PowerPoint applications.

  • Candidates should have good written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
