JPMorgan Chase Vice President, Software Engineer in Newark, Delaware
Duties: As a part of Document Management team in Reference Data Technology (RDT) group, the role is responsible for defining and implementing internal Document Management solutions and associated services for creation, storage, retention, search and retrieval of documents related to client identifications, relationships and transactions. The platform provides specific solutions towards content management and management of structured and unstructured data and associated document images. The role involves analyzing and developing software solutions while utilizing the firm’s proprietary technology solutions specifically geared to meet above business needs around Document Management. Develop core reference data application components for the team by writing software code in various technologies. Coordinate and contribute with team towards the strategic application design of the application components. Liaise with the business regarding any new implementation or help resolve any impediments faced by them through software applications. Interact and contribute to various application team which subscribes data from RDT. As Application Security Champion (ASC), ensures software development source code is compliant to software security threads, remediate vulnerabilities and manage associated risk for the enterprise application. As a senior developer and a key developer, provide Level 3 support and solutions to the applications used by the business. This role involves being available 24x7 on a regular basis and provide on call technical support for the in-house built applications. As Senior Developer; individual is responsible for underlying architecture of the software program and act as mentor for new and other software engineers in team; for code quality standards and best practices of Reference Data and JP Morgan.
Minimum education experience required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field plus 5 years of experience in investment banking, reference data, document management applications, or related experience OR Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field plus 2 years of experience in investment banking, reference data, document management applications, or related experience.
*Skills required: Experience with investment banking products, including derivatives, FX, equities, collateralized loans, and swaps. Experience with reference data applications for clients and account management. Experience with legal documentation management applications. Experience with Java, J2EE, and XML. Experience with Oracle or relational databases. Experience with Marklogic and other No-Sql databases. Experience with Spring Framework, Google Web Tool Kit, Maven, Ant, and ExtJS / Java script. Experience with Linux / Unix, shell scripting and application servers Tomcat and Weblogic. Experience in Job Schedulers.
