S&P Global Sr. Data Software Development/Engineer - ETL/DB in New York, New York

As a member of the Data Services team, you will be responsible for analysis, design, development and support of the enterprise data management systems. You should have experience with data architectures, data modeling, development and governance of principles. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise with data management technologies and a desire to drive change through data alignment across the enterprise.

The role requires the candidate to be a hands-on problem solver and developer helping to extend and manage the data platforms. You will be an expert contributor and part of the Rating Organization s Data Services team. This team has a broad and expert knowledge on Ratings critical data domains, technology stacks and architectural patterns. They foster knowledge sharing and collaboration that results in a unified strategy. All Data Services team members provide leadership, innovation, timely delivery, and the ability to articulate business value.

Data Services team is seeking a strong hands-on Data Software developer with design and development experience of enterprise systems, specializing in data loading, distribution, management & integration technologies. Candidate should have experience with all phases of software development cycle, including operations. Candidate must be a quick learner who is highly motivated and willing to tackle new technologies while being able to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently. Candidate must be able to manage multiple tasks and should be able to communicate effectively. This is a hands-on position requiring strong analytical, architecture and development skills that includes both development and operations.

Your Skills:

BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

8 years of Information Technology experience

5 year of Oracle, Exadata, PL - SQL, stored procedures, SQL optimization skills experience

5 years of Informatica experience

Experience in UNIX environment including scripting - scheduling (i.e. Autosys)

Experience supporting production environments

Experience with Change Management and defect tracking tools

Experience working in an Agile development environment

Experience working with cross functional teams.

Detail oriented with ability to take Initiative and proactively address problems

Excellent analytical thinking, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
