Position: Senior Associate (New York, New York)

Duties: Assist in the design and build out for the next generation of Insurance applications in the cloud. Possess a passion for pushing mobile/web stack and technologies to the limits. Develop and maintain applications built using modern technology platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform etc. aimed at revolutionizing the insurance industry. Design and develop applications targeting areas of insurance such as underwriting, risk and pricing and will work alongside other engineers and developers working on various layers of the infrastructure. Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications, identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs, and manage team project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.

Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus three (3) years’ of experience building data-focused web and mobile applications. Or, alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Systems (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and five (5) years’ of experience building data-focused web and mobile applications. Must also possess 6 months of the following: In-depth knowledge and understanding of virtualization technologies, such as IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) or PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) or SaaS (Software as a Service); Practical experience using Cloud Platforms like Amazon Web Services for cloud computing and developing end-to-end software applications using programing languages including Java, Python, Node, and JavaScript; Utilizing SQL/NoSQL Databases including Teradata, Oracle, and MongoDB to create database architectures, data stores, schemas, stored procedures and ETL jobs; Developing and building web/mobile applications using native technologies or latest frameworks including ReactJS, AngularJS, and Swift; Developing Rest-Full API’s using Spring Boot Java, Node and Python Django frameworks; Strong background in Linux operating system; Performing continuous integration, deployment and build automation using software versioning and deployment technologies like Jenkins, Grunt, Gulp, or Travis-CI; Interfacing with product owners and end users to gather requirements and translate requirements into technology options; Creating and maintaining project documents and artifacts to capture current state; Mentoring other engineers on the team by giving technical guidance and performing code reviews; Knowledge of agile software development practices and release management.
