This role will support and help drive the agenda of the Corporate and Investment Bank Compensation/Analytics function. In this role, you will perform a variety of compensation activities supporting the Infrastructure areas. This includes providing guidance to line and HR management regarding compensation actions for employees, administering/coordinating annual compensation planning processes, and performing analysis in support of all activities:

  • Provide reporting and analysis to help management make strategic business decisions and to influence how the tools supporting the compensation process are designed and evolve

  • Participate in year-end reporting, including preparation of materials for the CIB Infrastructure areas

  • Perform independent analyses of internal and external benchmarking data to support compensation needs

  • Develop the model the appropriate level of compensation funding required for businesses (including forecasting compensation pools while working closely with HR and business

  • Provide counsel to HR partners about compensation decisions, new hire offers, and interpretation and application of policies

  • Perform valuation and processing of deferred equity buyout awards for new employees

  • Manage processes that ensure the appropriate new hire compensation information is transferred from recruitment to the compensation system

  • Actively lead and/or participate in Corporate and Investment Bank and firm-wide projects involving compensation, including changes in compensation practices


  • Typically 2 - 4 years of HR/Compensation or Finance experience, with strong analytical, mathematical, and data/information management skills

  • Self-starter that is intellectually curious and enjoys analytical/statistical work

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and consulting skills

  • High attention to detail and sense of urgency

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment; ability to work well under pressure and to manage multiple priorities

  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft applications; advanced understanding of Excel and PowerPoint is critical. Experience with Business Objects is preferred, but not required

  • Prior experience in the financial services industry is ideal, but not mandatory
