JPMorgan Chase Corporate Compliance – Global Financial Crimes Practices – VP in New York, New York

JPMorgan Chase is seeking talented candidates for a VP position in our Global Financial Crimes Practices team in New York City. The team is part of the Global Financial Crimes (GFC) within Compliance and is responsible for the successful execution of the Compliance Practices across GFCC, as well as consistency and awareness of standards and priorities across GFC. The team also plays a critical role in key initiatives, senior management business presentations, governance of the program and the overall strategy for GFC, working closely with internal partners, including Finance, Audit, Legal, Control Group, and Human Resources.

While initially the role will be focused on driving the Office of Legal Obligation Program across GFCC globally, it will likely evolve and broaden into a GFCC Practices role as the OLO program matures. The Office of Legal Obligation (OLO) program is a firm-wide, global initiative that brings together the expertise of Legal, Lines of Business (LOBs), Oversight & Control, Compliance, Risk and other key control functions, to proactively manage regulatory changes in our operations and allow us to trace end-to-end connections between laws, rules and regulations on the one hand, and our policies and procedures that demonstrate compliance on the other.

Key responsibilities:

  • Reviewing obligations and assessing applicability to Global Financial Crimes

  • Mapping of obligations to required supporting documentation within ELA

  • Collaborate with OLO, business partners and key stakeholders to ensure a clear and well-coordinated program and consistent interpretation of applicable obligations

  • Regular reporting to Senior Management

  • Compile procedure gap analysis data for communication to GFCC stakeholders and work with the OLO procedure work stream

  • Subject matter expert on OLO process and tool related topics

  • Respond and resolve items identified by QC, QA and audit process

Potential additional responsibilities as the role broadens:

  • Assist in the development of GFC presentations for Senior Management, including GFCOC presentations, regulatory, etc.

  • Support the development, execution, and coordination of our internal/external communications strategy for AML related matters

  • Develop reporting that highlights risks in processes and key risk indicators that are forward looking

  • Ensure holistic and consistent approach to key initiatives and reporting across the organization

  • Facilitate, as needed, in the project management of GFC initiatives

  • Relevant experience/knowledge in BSA/AML and Sanctions is preferable

  • Familiarity with multiple GFCC functions (Client List Screening, Sanctions, SAR, etc.) is an advantage

  • Diverse problem solving / strategic initiative / project management

  • An outstanding ability to communicate effectively and confidently (both oral and written)

  • Strong interpersonal skills – and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels in a peer-like way, and achieve goals without direct control over resources
