Corporate Treasury & CIO (“CTC”) is a critical function within Corporate Financial Management responsible for managing the Firm's liquidity and capital positions, establishing funds transfer pricing policy, analyzing the Firm's lines of business (“LOBs”) and consolidated earnings at risk (interest rate risk), executing the Firm's securitization program and share repurchase program, managing the Firm's relationships with rating agencies and fixed income investors, and managing structural interest rate and foreign exchange ("FX") risks.
The CTC Liquidity Controller Americas group is responsible for oversight of CTC North America & Latin America’s liquidity results and related controls. This includes managing the regional liquidity reporting, its operational control environment, and liquidity forecasting and analysis. The group is also involved in projects, including those relating to enhancing the Liquidity Risk Infrastructure platform, conducting strategic analyses, and participating in various governance forums. Additionally, the group is the primary point of contact for Investor Relations and Corporate Reporting where liquidity messaging is involved.
The CTC Americas balance sheet has $725bn in assets and $300bn in liabilities. The individual will get a deep working knowledge of the components of Corporate Treasury & CIO’s balance sheet which includes Investment Securities, Reverse Repos, and Money Market products (e.g. deposits, long term debt, other borrowings). There is significant focus on the bank’s liability transactions used for funding the Firm. Additionally, the individual will work with various members of the CTC LOB, including business managers, forecasting/P&A teams, the Liquidity Risk Project team, as well as other LOB partners.
Reporting, Forecasting & Controls
Assist with ongoing corporate and liquidity balancesheet analysis and liquidity reporting, including the Fed 5G report andinternal Liquidity Stress reporting
Determine business drivers behind changes in balancesand communicate liquidity impact to partner groups such as CorporateTreasury Middle Office, Liquidity Management and Liquidity Risk Oversight
Assist with ongoing liquidity result forecasting andplanning
Assist with requirements gathering and testing ofenhancements to the Firm’s proprietary Liquidity Reporting Infrastructure,LRI
Work with team members to establish procedures andquality standards, and to monitor against agreed targets
Assist with governance and control initiatives andworkstreams
Other strategic projects as needed
General understanding of a bank’s balance sheet and aninterest in learning how the bank funds itself
Bachelors' degree required
Strong financial and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal skills
Excellent multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Suites, strong Excelskills required
Ability to represent Treasury in various working groupsas required
