Americas Finance & Business Management is seeking an Associate level Business Manager based in New York supporting Investor Services (IS) Sales.

Investor Services is providing solutions and helping institutional investors and broker-dealers optimize efficiency, mitigate risk and enhance revenue through custody and asset servicing, securities and derivatives clearance, and collateral management offerings. Capabilities housed within Americas Investor Services include: prime brokerage, clearing for futures and options, OTC derivatives, securities and U.S. treasuries; collateral management on both the buy- and sell-side; financing and securities lending; global custody and direct custody; fund services;

The Business Manager (BM), as part of the Americas CIB Markets Sales Finance & Business Management organization, provides support to the business, and is critical for driving analysis, process improvement, financial analysis and controls, strategic initiatives.

Core Responsibilities:

Drive Growth and Strategy.

  • Workeffectively across the CIB Investor Services organization

  • Provideanalytics for business decisions

  • Organizeand participate in business reviews

  • Trackprogress to ensure delivery

  • Actas trusted partner to business head

  • Ensureimplementation of business strategies and help drive change

  • Escalateissues and roadblocks

  • Drivecompetitive benchmarking & market analysis

  • Prepareand communicate business strategy, performance and priorities

Optimize Business Performance

  • Leadannual Plan / Budget process

  • Manage& understand deal pipeline ensuring accurate data quality and salescoverage

  • Build& support revenue transparency for sales teams and identify drivers ofmonthly volatility

  • Producehigh quality output that will provide transparency and drive decisionmaking

  • Driveregular expense & revenue reviews to ensure targets are met

  • Assistin investment / productivity initiatives (headcount, technology spend,etc)

  • Ensurecompliance with policies

  • Drivemulti year strategic initiatives

Manage Business Risks

  • Identify,assess and mitigate business risks that could impair the ability to dobusiness:

  • Resiliencyplanning

  • Auditand Regulatory reviews


  • 5+years of banking industry experience

  • InvestorServices product background and knowledge preferred

  • Bachelor’sdegree in Accounting, Finance, or Business

  • BusinessManagement / Finance / COO experience

  • Thoughtfulanalytical skills; able to develop, clearly present and draw conclusions

  • Energetic,self motivated and effective under pressure - must enjoy the challenge ofworking within a fast-paced and demanding working environment

  • Selfstarter able to prioritize key tasks effectively

  • Outstandingorganization skills

  • Exceptionalverbal and written communications skills

  • Goodjudgment, maturity and poise to enable interaction/influencing of seniormanagement

  • Disciplinedapproach to managing processes and controls

  • StrongExcel – Pivot tables, application of financial formulas, macros
