Bank of America Business Analyst - Equities Tech in New York, New York
The Business Analyst role will be working within Bank of America’s Global Markets Equities Data and Analytics on a data projects including warehousing, regulatory and supervisory reporting, client reporting and analytics. The analyst will be responsible to ensure the needs of our business partners are met as well as work with Compliance and ensure all regulatory and books and records requirements are met.
Responsible for the analysis and functional design for Equities data critical business requirements. These requirements span regulatory, warehousing and analytic projects.
Work with business partners to determine requirements and develop functional designs and requirement specifications based on the analysis.
Work with business partners to obtain sign off on requirements
Work closely with developers and QA testers to ensure the requirements are understood and translated properly into a working technical design.
Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Financial Services.
Strong analytical skills
Strong understanding of Equities trading
Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of management
Ability to write database queries to facilitate analysis
Experience with business, functional and non-functional requirements
Experience with data warehousing and regulatory reporting including OATS
Ability to work with various business units (Product, Technology, Compliance, Legal)
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrated history of taking ownership of problems and seeing them through to resolution
