Federal Reserve Bank Cybersecurity Engagement and Service Coordinator, National Incident Response Team - Federal Reserve (NY, NJ, TX, VA) in New York City, New York

*What we do: * * * The National Incident Response Team (NIRT), a national service provider for the Federal Reserve System, delivers effective and efficient national intrusion detection, incident response, security intelligence, threat assessment, and vulnerability assessment services for the Federal Reserve System. The mission of the National Incident Response Team is to play a leading role in the Federal Reserve System’s efforts to protect its information systems against unauthorized use.

The mission of NIRT’s Tailored Cyber Protection Service (TCPS) team is to improve the security posture of FRS system using a fusion engagement model with a team of cybersecurity experts across multiple domains. This role coordinates the execution of assessment engagements and drives collaboration between internal and/or external business and technical stakeholders to align business risks and concerns with threat-driven, risk based priorities.

Your role as a Cybersecurity Engagement and Service Coordinator: * * As an Engagement and Service Coordinator, this individual contributor role will be expected to exercise leadership through collaboration and have a blend of skills and competencies to perform tasks, including: * * * Coordinate engagement execution across a variety of stakeholders to achieve a shared vision of threat-driven, risk based goals and priorities * Manage the development of project deliverables, tracking of engagement requests and security contextualization to deliver end-to-end customer experience, balancing short-term achievements with customer-centric long-term goals * Aggregate risk perspectives and threat translations across various cybersecurity domains * Apply a risk-based approach to correlate business risks and concerns with identified threat landscape and business exposure * Work closely with internal security teams and/or business partners to ensure businesses derive value from point-in-time deliverables and on-going cybersecurity operations * Research industry trends and business partner missions to identify key risk areas for prioritization and to gain insight into the business needs and perspectives * Effectively collaborate across a wide range of teams from technical cybersecurity practitioners to executive business leaders * Facilitate and drive service alignment across internal and/or external stakeholders to achieve shared goals and objectives * Demonstrate technical knowledge to engage effectively with security teams across multiple disciplines * Understand and translate technical issues to prioritize requests and decisions * Create, support, and motivate actions of others through influence and collaboration * Set priorities with a broad prospective, balancing business risk and cyber threat landscape * Develop and champion innovative ideas and methodologies to support continuous improvement and evolve the service

*What we are looking for:

* The candidate should possess in-depth knowledge and understanding of a breadth of information technologies, information security, project management, and risk perspectives. Specifically, this should include the following: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Systems Analysis or a domain related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. * Expert experience in executing, coordinating and/or supporting engagements, from both an internal and external perspective * Demonstrable experience in service, product or project management * Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to communicate technical, risk, and cybersecurity issues clearly to a diverse audience * Demonstrable experience engaging executives and other stakeholders to support business decisions * Team player with excellent collaborative and consultative skills to work effectively with internal/external management, stakeholders, staff, vendors, and consultants * Knowledge of risk management and control frameworks (e.g., NIST) including a willingness to become knowledgeable in FR-specific frameworks * Experience leading process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing customer satisfaction and building stronger relationships * Strong knowledge of cybersecurity issues, techniques and enterprise implications * Develop tactical components and strategies to achieve goals * * *Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, with competing priorities, in a highly dynamic and rapidly changing environment * Experience with data graphics visualization and related tools is desired * Related information security, technical, and/or project certification is desired (e.g., CISA, CISSP, PMP, CCSP, GIAC) * Ability to obtain and maintain National Security Clearance is required, which includes US Citizenship * * The Federal Reserve Bank of New York is committed to a diverse workforce and to providing equal employment opportunity to all persons without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, genetic information, disability, or military service. * * Why the Fed: ** Working at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York positions you at the center of the financial world with a unique perspective on national and international markets and economies.
