SQL Database Administrator, Mid

Key Role:

Design and construct relational databases for data warehousing. Develop data modeling, maintain responsibility for data acquisition and access analysis and design, and archive, recover, and load strategy design and implementation. Coordinate new data development ensuring consistency and integration with an existing warehouse structure. Review business requests for data and data usage and research data sources for new and better data feeds. Assist with continuous improvement efforts for enhancing performance and providing increased functionality. Apply comprehensive knowledge of a particular field of specialization for the completion of difficult assignments. Work under general supervision, plan, conduct, and supervise assignments, operate with substantial latitude for unreviewed actions or decisions, review progress, and evaluate results.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in both unclassified and classified environments

-Experience with disaster recovery and service migrations between data centers

-Ability to performs all functional DBA duties independently

-Active Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

-Security+ Certification

-MCSA - Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate in SQL Server 2012 or newer Certification

-MTA - Microsoft Technology Associate Database Fundamentals Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with upgrading SQL Server instances

-Knowledge of software development and SharePoint databases

-Ability to manage other DBAs

-MA or MS degree
