Job Description

  1. Verifies insurance benefits for services prior to admission to the program.

  2. Obtain timely pre-authorization for all outpatient and inpatient transplant services, inclusive of pre-transplant testing, donor services, and inpatient hospitalizations.

  3. Processes invoices for donor registries and necessary testing.

  4. Coordinates inpatient billing of all transplant patients.

  5. Coordinates and liaises effectively with physicians to develop timely and appropriate billing plans for all protocols/treatment programs.

  6. Provides support for all transplant finance issues and ensures that activities occur in compliance with appropriate regulations and contractual obligations.

  7. Assist in patient billing and maintaining pertinent transplant records as required for maintenance of certification.

  8. Coordinates with transplant nursing staff in planning and organizing program activities.

  9. Performs related duties, as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

  • Minimum of two (2) years medical administrative experience.

  • Ability to communicate well and effectively interact with patients and families.
