Function: Manufacturing Engineering

Title: Manufacturing Engineer - End of Line - 41783

Your Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Engineer – End of Line, for the Harvester Works located in Moline, IL, you will plan, coordinate and perform manufacturing engineering OFP activities for current product programs, factory redevelopment and Continuous Improvement programs. In addition, you will:

  • Lead Continuous Improvement project details, which align with factory Safety, Quality, and Delivery metrics, including scope creation, alignment, project budgets, & schedules

  • Uses computer aided design, process planning and facility planning tools to develop manufacturing process and facility plans. This includes developing product synchronization charts, graphical sequence of events, creating logical line designs, establishing work methods, time standards and material handling methods

  • Concept tool and fixture designs including sourcing their design and build with external service providers

  • Work with Manufacturing Execution System (MES tools JDAAT), and product testing (JDTester)

  • Support PFMEAs and designs process controls for mistake proofing and develops offline programs to run machine/robot/plc controllers for manufacturing

  • Develop work instructions and decision support methods, creates line balances and detailed physical layouts and 3D manufacturing process layouts

  • Use simulation and analysis techniques to validate and verify process and facility plans and provides analysis reports

  • Work with Operations and Order Fulfillment manufacturing personnel to begin limited production builds and help with ramping up to full production and ensuring necessary production rates, process capability and productivity requirements are met.

What Skills You Need

  • Experience W-Planner, SAP, & JDTester

  • Experience with incentive pay plans (CIPP)

  • Knowledge and proficiency in Computer Aided Design concepts and Computer Aided Process Planning concepts

  • Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

  • Knowledge of manufacturing and/or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance and facilities

  • Experience with Testing Equipment, and Integrated Mfg controls

  • Experience with MES systems (JDAAT, AMES, Liaison, Factory Talk, etc.)

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles, 5S, Tool Design, Torque Application and Tooling, and Line Design

  • Experience managing capital projects of $100+

What Makes You Stand Out

  • 3 or more years Manufacturing engineering experience

Education (or equivalent work experience)

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineer, or Industrial Engineering.
